Zaptrike

31Mar11

This project looks at how people opt out of using public transportation, simply because it is easier to drive.  To make public transportation viable it has to become as easy as driving a car.  By focusing on the Last Mile, zaptrike is able to ease the final part of the commute so that their is no need to worry how you are going to get to your final destination.

By utilizing the car share system, users are able to rent a zaptrike for the day so that they can commute from and back to the train station.  To support the needs of commuters zaptrike has a storage compartment as well as a cover for inclement weather.

Charette 2011

15Oct10

Along with a group of students at the University of the Arts, we created a bake sale to raise money for the Water Project. An organization dedicated to providing clean water in developing countries. To donate to the cause, check out http://www.waterbakesale.org

These are some of the renderings that I have been doing this summer while working for the Strive Group.

The first one is a rendering of the redesign for the Harajuku Dolls so that colleges could use them in their display renderings.   The next two were my designs for counter units.  I believe the NYC Nail Polish display is in the progress of being produced.

Glass Final

01May10

This is a piece that I made for my glass blowing class as my final piece.

Scenario

30Apr10

This is a quick scenario on why a city might want to create an EMT bike team with the Life Bike System

This is a beer stein that is designed to be able to fit a solo cup inside of it.  It is a commentary on date rape drugs and how people keep their hand over the top of their glass to try and prevent others from dropping something into their glass.  The shape of the stein was designed to safely hold a solo cup so that it could be set inside with out it falling out.  The feet allow the stein it to be set down without raising the cup out of the stein.

Shapeways

23Apr10

I opened a shapeways account today and loaded some of my pieces onto it.

Womans Pelvis

19Apr10

I finally got my clay piece back today.  It took a few weeks to get fired but it was well worth it.  I am not too sure what happened during the firing process but it came out differently than what I expected……, although I do like the outcome.
